The first of four large pieces being machined for the plug for a submarine Hull-Ballast tank.
Plug made by joining four machined pieces. The plug is ready to have the mold built over it.
Mold being lifted from plug. Note that "one-time use" plug remains intact. Note also that welded pipe framework has been tabbed on mold in preparation for installation in cradle to allow rotation when molding part.
The finished hull built for Reef Explorer Submarines, Inc has been removed from the mold and is ready for trimming. |
